A note for Summer, trying to balance my career and health was my main priority this summer. However, I enjoyed every moment of it. It taught me the value of the smallest things around me such as the air we breathe.
Friday night’s in the city was the ultimate summer highlight. Here is to new adventures and new beginnings in a new season! I’m excited for what is to come. To kick off the end of Summer. I was invited by Janet Mandell to celebrate By:Fashionaholic Fall Fashion Preview at Katana Chicago.
Fierce is an understatement! As I begin to fall in love with fashion I am now understanding and studying a designers vision through their clothing pieces. It’s not about people understanding the “why” they made this certain style, or why they are wearing such garments. It’s about understanding the inspiration through their eyes that cultivates that spark moment of “ah”.
Janet Mandell is a Chicago fashion icon and blogger. A fierce woman who I have admired for the business and fashion icon she is. From creating an engaging blog, Fashionaholic to a brick and mortar store, By:Fashionaholic which is the ultimate opportunity for a fashionista to experience high fashion for any event.
During the night, guest not only enjoyed a night full of fashion but enjoyed light bites by Japanese cuisine in a seductive setting, courtesy of Katana. Fun fact Katana originally started in LA, then Dubai and Chicago marks their third location. Katana Chicago is one of the Innovative Dining Group restaurants. Adored precious floral arrangements such as roses by Anastasia Lupu, founder of Fille Fleur Fée.
What I’ve come to realize it’s not about the amazingly stunning luxury fashion designers. It’s about the dedication that is put into an event like this to see Janet Mandell’s vision and dreams come true for her love for fashion. Congratulations on such an epic an event. I cannot wait to see her vision for this upcoming Spring at her runway fashion show.
