Bogota Re-Cap

Bogota Re-Cap

Hi Loves!

Many of you know that I have been spending time in Colombia to take care of personal matters. My first stop was Bogotá, Colombia. In case you didn’t know Bogotá is the capital from Colombia. I am not from there originally, I’m from Medellín, which is my favorite city in Colombia.

Bogotá in my experience is a place to go if you want to learn the historical background of Colombia. I didn’t get to explore as much of the city due to the things I had to do during my visit in this city.

The best part of my experience in Bogotá was our stay at one of the luxurious and five-star hotels in Bogotá which was Tryp Bogotá Embajada. I can’t complain nor say the hospitality service didn’t meet my expectations. It overpassed my expectations. Each person who worked at the hotel from the host, receptionist, and security made our stay at Tryp Bogotá Embajada welcoming and a wonderful experience. If I were to ever go back to Colombia this would be the hotel I would book and recommend anyone.

Tryp Bogotá Embajada has an open space of places to eat anything you might be in the mood for. One of the amazing features that this hotel provides is free WiFi, free continential breakfast, and free transportation service to the airport, whether it’s picking you up or dropping you off the hotel. Tryp Bogotá Embajada provides these great features within their package when booking them. Which made things flexible on my end.

A few Touristic sights:

  • Plaza Bolívar – the main square of the Colombian capital of Bogotá. (Ps. This is where you will see pigeons everywhere).
  • Casa de Nariño – where the president lives and works.
  • Monserrate – The ride to see the whole city view of Bogotá.
  • La Candelaria – landmarks of colonial era cathedral and neoclassical Bolivar Plaza.

Foodie:

#guiltypleasure the one thing that doesn’t stop is the food and treats along the way. Whether it’s the traditional dish which is “Bandeja Paisa” or the most visited place which is “Crepes & Waffles”. I couldn’t stop eating lol.

Overall, it’s a pleasure to always explore a different city and see the differences in culture, weather, and food.

Catch the next post on my trip to Colombia as I went to my main city and fun touristic places which was Medellín & El Peñol. Click here to see all the behind the scenes.

Love Always,
Yessi Bause
